IAC Faculty Learning Community and Symposium on Perceptions of War
November 26-30, 2018

The Fall 2018 IAC faculty learning community will explore various interpretations and meanings of war.  From historical perspectives through diverse applications of the word “war,” explorations will be made examining war and its myriad ramifications and consequences..  Participating faculty will include topics of war in their curricula throughout the term, culminating in a weeklong symposium November 26 – 30..  Themes will include wellness, a salute to veterans, sustainability, poverty, and peace..

On P.A.R. with Cancer

This cancer awareness initiative at InterAmerican Campus spans much of the Fall term and will include discussion panels, informative workshops, fundraising events, and a Festival for the Cures.  On P.A.R. with Cancer is an initiative of the IAC Phi Theta Kappa chapter as well as an IAC changemaking effort.

IAC Green Week
September 17-22

Green Week is a weeklong happening September 17 – 22 at MDC InterAmerican Campus focusing on sustainability, civic engagement, and Earth Literacy.  Daily events will include the Earth Fair sustainability and civic engagement expo, We-Lab water/energy conservation workshop by Dream in Green, film screenings, a Green Lunch vegan/vegetarian awareness gathering, yoga, creative opportunities for students, and more.  Green Week is the brainchild of the IAC students who attended the 2018 Narrow Ridge Social Ecology Field Experience trip, and is brought to you by Earth Ethics Institute, the Institute for Civic Engagement and Democracy, and the IAC Y.E.S! Club.
