This workshop consists of four sessions, each is focused on the interconnection of human health with environmental and community health. Examine the roots of Western medicine and how it has evolved in an industrial society and explore health as a dynamic relationship between humans and the environments in which they live.

Earth Charter Reflections
Awarding 3.5 hours of Professional Development

In this workshop, participants will explore the meaning and intent of the Earth Charter and consider its significance from an inter-disciplinary perspective.  A panel of renowned subject-area specialists will lead the discussion of how the Earth Charter can guide the development of new curriculum, and how familiarity with this document helps prepare students for success as global citizens.

Virginia Key Beach Park: A Sense of Place

This Immersion provides an overview of Historic Virginia Key Beach Park.
