2008-2009

This year the Earth Ethics Institute continued its relationship with the Community Science Workshop at Citrus Grove Elementary.  Farmer Cliff visited the garden on October 15, 2008 and and the students planted tomatoes, beans, cucumbers, carrots, a new banana tree and more!  The papaya trees planted last year have begun bearing fruit - bountiful, sweet papayas!

2007-2008

The Earth Ethics Institute has been working with the Community Science Workshop and students at Citrus Grove for the past 3 years.  This year we built another 6’x 3’ bed and replanted the ring garden with tomatoes, callaloo, malanga, collards, lettuce and more!

Farmer Cliff captivates students with images of the Cherokee Purple heirloom tomato, a large tomato with red, golden, and purple hues and green shoulders.

Farmer Cliff explains why cassava is a staple for the majority of the world’s population.  It’s so easy to grow!

Ms. Anjali prepares the ring garden for a replant , in front of thriving pineapple and boniato beds.
